Bodies in Motion Gym Rules
General Terms & Conditions

All visitors must sign in and out at reception.

Members between 12 and 16 can only use the cardio equipment, only 16 and over can then use the weights.

Video/photos may be taken with the permission of the member.

Leave the premises before closing time.

We ask you to familiarise yourself with the contents of our signs, notices on display, and the location of the emergency exits.

You agree to advise us immediately of any change to the details provided on your account.

All lost and found items can only be retained for a maximum of one week. If the item is not collected within this period, it will be disposed of.
Personal Items, Footwear and Clothing

Please be changed into suitable clothing and footwear when exercising (denim, bare feet, flip-flops, or boots are amongst the range of unsuitable clothing choices). Any member not wearing suitable attire may be asked to leave the gym at the discretion of the staff.

Phones and ear (pods, buds, phones) may be used with the permission of the members around you.

Please do not take any food, chewing gum, and/or hot drinks past the reception. Please use the provided bins otherwise.

Please leave your belongings in the changing room or a safe space. (Hire a locker key for a refundable £5)

Empty your locker when you leave.
Proper Use, Safety and Behaviour

Be safe and please report any equipment malfunctions, personal injuries or specific concerns to the staff immediately.

Use the gym facilities and equipment correctly and not in a way that might cause harm to yourself or others (just ask a member of staff if you are unsure, an induction can be booked for free).

Do not tamper with fire extinguishers, if broken, you will be charged.

Do not behave in an aggressive, abusive, intimidating, anti-social, or threatening manner or in a way that might cause distress to staff or members.

Do not discriminate, harass, or engage in unwanted physical or verbal contact with another member or member of staff.

Leave other people alone, don’t disrupt other members' workouts, and be polite.

Put weights away after you've used them. Don't drop them or throw them.

Do not use the gym whilst under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or tranquilizers or make use of any other medical substance which may affect your ability to exercise safely on our premises. Bodies in Motion reserves the right to remove you from the premises if it reasonably believes you are unfit to use the facilities.

Do not engage in any type of criminal behaviour whilst on our premises.

Do not cause damage to the premises, our or another member's property, if you do, we will charge you.

Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted.
Terms of your Membership

All memberships will be charged month to month, depending on what date you joined us.

The first month's membership fees are collected from you either by cash, debit/credit card at the time of purchase or by Direct Debit within approximately 5 working days from your membership application date. Our female memberships entitle you to an induction session which can be booked at our desk.

You may cancel your membership at any point by contacting us via phone, email, or by reception, freezing/pausing your membership is also possible, both options come at no charge.

Please note that our memberships run on a rolling 30-day contract and renew monthly unless frozen or cancelled.

You must freeze your membership with us, at no charge, if you know you're not going to attend Bodies in Motion gym, this benefits you as your membership will continue unless frozen, you may ask about how this works at our desk, via 01282 605050 or email at bodiesinmotion@clubright.co.uk or on our FAQs page.

No unofficial PTs, only rent-paying personal trainers are allowed to provide paid personal training at Bodies in Motion. Anyone else isn't insured.

Failure to adhere to these rules may result in the termination of your membership without a refund.

Unfortunately, we do not provide refunds for unused memberships. If you no longer wish to be a member of Bodies in Motion, you must cancel your membership before your billing date.

Members unable to pay their overdue membership on the day must purchase a £3.50 day pass to access the gym. This fee must be paid each day the member wishes to use the gym until the overdue membership balance is fully paid. The day pass payment does not contribute toward the outstanding membership balance. Members unable to pay the £3.50 day pass will be denied entry until payment is made.

Please note, all cancellation requests must be received 4 days BEFORE your billing date. With less than 4 days' notice, payment may still be taken but will not be refunded, however, you will be able to reinstate for the time you have paid by calling us at 01282 605050.
Day Passes

Day passes are subject to a fair use policy. 1 pass per person.

You will be entitled to all the rights and privileges exercisable for the Type of Membership chosen.

You cannot transfer this daily membership to anyone else nor transfer to another date.

Day passes are non-refundable.

Your membership will be activated on the date you specified or paid, running till closing on the specified date.
Independent Class Rules e.g. Yoga.

Must be booked in advance, using credits that can be bought at the desk or online in-app.
-
You may book classes up to 28 days in advance through our app or website.
-
Classes are only available to females from 14 years and over.
-
To secure your place in our gym classes, we highly recommend booking in advance. If a class is fully booked, feel free to join our waiting list. As long as you are on the waiting list, we will notify you via email if a cancellation occurs, and the first individual to book the available spot will secure the space.

Our classes can accommodate a maximum of 8 people for safety reasons. You must book online/in-app, over the phone or at our desk to secure yourself a place.

All of our classes work on a first come first serve basis.

(PAYG) Refunds are not given to those who book a space but do not attend, you must cancel before the class.

If you are unable to attend a class that you have booked, you must cancel your booking with at least 2 hours' notice through our app or website. Any cancellation made within 2 hours of the class start time will require a call to us to cancel, so we can free up the space for another member.

If you book a space in any class and do not attend and do not cancel, you will be given a week-long temporary ban on booking our classes. During this time, any classes already booked for the banned week will be cancelled. However, if you are certain you can attend, you can call us to re-book them. These classes will still be able to be booked via the desk, however, you will not be able to book them yourself during the time period. If you continue to book spaces and do not attend without cancelling, we will have to enforce a ban again.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will not be allowed to join the class.

Members must book at least 45 minutes before the class start time.

Walk-ins are not allowed. You must book your spot in advance through our app, website, over the phone, or at our desk.

Week-long bans will be issued if you fail to cancel your booking within the required time frame or if you violate any other policies outlined in these Terms and Conditions.
Personal Training Sessions

Payment: Payment for personal training sessions must be made in advance. Please note that we do not accept bank transfers. You can make payments either by cash or through our contactless card machine, or any other payment method agreed upon by the trainer and the client.

Cancellation Policy: Clients must note that personal training sessions can be cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled session time. Any cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 24 hours will not be accommodated. Please ensure to provide ample notice if you need to make changes to your session.

Refunds: No refunds will be given for personal training sessions once they have been purchased. Sessions must be used within 3 months of purchase.

Health and Safety: Clients must inform the trainer of any health issues or injuries before starting a personal training session. The trainer reserves the right to refuse to train a client if they believe it is not safe to do so.

Liability: The trainer is not liable for any injuries or damages sustained by the client during a personal training session. Clients participate in sessions at their own risk.

Confidentiality: The trainer will keep all client information confidential and will not share it with any third parties without the client's consent.
By purchasing personal training sessions, clients agree to these terms and conditions.
